Team
Au Carrefour de L`Europe founders and members have a large past experience and know-how that they want to implement in our current and future activities. Our activities and projects are always focused on areas related to European values and interests such as human rights, social inclusion, peacebuilding, conflict resolutions, social minorities, youth employability, entrepreneurship, etc.
The areas of expertise of our members are task division, work project management, non-formal education, implementing, assisting and organizing training and events in areas such as communication, social inclusion, outdoor activities and healthy lifestyle.
The vice-president of our association has Central African citizenship and a large experience in working with children from African countries but also Reunion Island.
In Reunion Island, through our events and projects we are also helping the African and Asian immigrants from countries like Kenya or Madagascar in their struggle to start a social and professional life in Reunion. We are supporting them in their social, cultural and educational inclusion and we are emphasizing the importance of the inclusion of the migrants.
Our members and volunteers are regularly attending different types of training to increase their soft skills, competencies and abilities. All our team members have been involved in international training activities and have experience in international cooperation and are qualified and experienced adequately to provide high quality in their work.
Our current team counts over 36 volunteers, out of which 20 live in Reunion island. They all have signed a volunteering contract, which describes our duties and theirs as well. Our volunteers are mostly responsible with logistical aspects of youth exchanges we organise and they are part of the team which is in charge of the dissemination of the project’s results.
Each one of the team members has a different view of life, approaches, strategies and ideas to improve their world and we think that this diversity unites us in a common vision of a world that can work for everyone out of respect, toleration, cooperation and care. The persons involved have the capacity to support engaging debates and discussions on relevant topics in current society.
They are also experienced in working in an intercultural environment with foreign partners and in project management, project coordination, event management and human resources considering the project they had developed and implemented themselves.
